Cuvée Noire + Many Others – Brooklyn Brewery
Rogue – Double Chocolate Stout. Very very amazing chocolate stout. Actually tasted like rich milk chocolate. I enjoyed this with dessert – Peter Pan donuts from Greenpoint to be exact. Highly recommended!! The donuts and the beer!
Brooklyn Brewery – Black Chocolate Stout – Winter ‘12-’13 edition. This stout is one of my favorites from Brooklyn. I let this one age a year – at the 10% alcohol – and it was well worth it. My only criticism is that it tastes more like coffee than chocolate. The chocolate comes through – more dark chocolate than anything – but wish it was a little more pronounced – given the name.
Perennial Beer Night at Barcade in Williamsburg. What a great event! About 15 or so Perennial beers on tap – with some rarities that were amazing – including Wile Raspberry Ale (the pinkish one), Saison Di Lis (the one next to the pizza) and Aria Peaches (not pictured).
Great brewery and was great having the event at Barcade cause you can get half pours (in order to try more). And played plenty of videogames of course – Contra, Final Fight, Gauntlet and Rampage.
Victory Brewing – Otto. Smoked Ale. Like eating smoked sausage – delicious. Smoked beers may be one of my favs. No reason to wait till Winter.
Was able to pick this up on the cheap from Eastern District in Greenpoint. I then aged it for about 9 months.
Firestone Walker night at Brouwerij Lane. Again, this was a month ago. So much beer – so little time.
I love the flier for this – Fire – Stone -Walker. LOL – ROTFL – LOLCATZ.
The pictures – it’s Velvet Merkin. Can’t wait till Q4 for that to be released in bottle. And then there’s Union Jack and Double Jack. They are all amazing and delicious. No need to delineate.
Left Hand Polestar Pilsner. I bought this from Eastern District in Greenpoint for a couple bucks because Left Hand hasn’t steered me wrong and because it was only a couple bucks. I flat out didn’t like it. No flavor – tasted like Budweiser Isn’t that a pilsner? Maybe I don’t like pilsners – going to avoid from here on out.
Brooklyn Brewery Silver Anniversary Lager. I’m pumped that we are going to see this beer year round. It’s a delicious lager – reddish in color – crisp – light – yet has a lot of flavor.
And in bottles – they are releasing four editions – each with a different label designed by a different Brooklyn artist. #1 is already out and can still be found out and about.
This one is definitely a crowd pleaser.
